What the latest ERO report said about Literacy and numeracy at St AndrewsEpsom ECC 2009
‘Children have good opportunities to participate in uninterrupted play. They form friendships and play cooperatively for sustained periods of time. Routines are unobtrusive and, although teachers monitor to ensure that children do eat morning tea, children can choose when to snack. Children enjoy exploring the richly resourced environment and the programme is complemented by teacher-initiated activities and learning experiences. The development of children's early literacy and numeracy skills is promoted in the centre, as is their participation in art, dance and music, and science.’
