Our Philosophy
Staffing: We strongly believe in having qualified, registered and enthusiastic staff committed to early childhood education
Our ratio is 3 teachers to 25 children.
Group Size: We believe that a small group size contributes to an optimum learning environment for children.
Partnership with Families: We value the differences that each child and family brings to our centre. We work alongside families and whanau to support individual children in their development.
Holistic Programming: We believe that children learn best through play and offer a programme that is arts focused, holistic and based on the New Zealand National Childhood Curriculum - Te Whaariki. We offer a balance between child and teacher initiated activities and experiences. We believe that a life long interest and involvement in the arts, (music, dance, drama and the visual arts) can be fostered at this age.
Dynamic Learning Environment: We recognise that the environment is a critical factor in children's learning. We work hard to provide learning spaces that are challenging and aesthetic.
Biculturalism: We acknowledge that it is the right of every child in New Zealand to experience the dual cultural heritage of the partners to the Treaty of Waitangi.
